1/4 of the way.

By miaweelow

So Deakin has decided that they needed more money so the higher ups are pushing for quicker trimesters so the school can fit 3 learning periods in a year. Thus, im left with no mid trimester break and no study break before the exams. Its like sch x13weeks then -wham- we’re into the exams with no respite. On a brighter note, the holidays for those who do not opt for summer studies is gonna be of epic proportions. So i guess “xian ku hou tian”. Its just that its hard to psych myself up, you know, get into the study mood. I take 4 weeks. Tried and tested haha.

So far looming essays, projects and inexhaustible readings occupy my waking hours, but i am certain that something good will come out of all this rush. I just hope that I can persevere and keep striving for excellence.

Today I met Paul Shi finally. We had Han Guuk Guan and I introduced him to Sun doo Boo Ji Geh (a kimchi broth with tofu and seafood). He thought it was “authentic”. I was most pleased of course. We had a good chat and it mostly revolved around our faith and I got to admit I asked him out because I knew he could challenge my faith in Christ.
Sometimes we just need someone to speak some words of faith just to get us riled up to believe again. Im so glad we met.

For a while I’ve been questioning the authenticity of my faith and the reason why I have felt so low for so long. I’ve been feeling the effects of the “cares of the world” creeping up on me but I know it doesn’t have to be this way. Paul really astounded me with his childlike faith and I could see that it came from a sincere heart, a heart I knew I once had, and a heart which I loved because it knew the saviour intimately.

Because of you, I am inspired to carry on this journey. In spite of circumstances, may the work which the saviour started be completed in me. I don’t want to belong to the huge number of Christians that fail because they make excuses for themselves. I want to walk through the narrow gate.
