the short story of miaweelow

miaweelow was a mistake. In the year 1985, miaweelow’s father struggled to remember whats the true spelling of his first born’s dialect name and he chose to write miawee on his son’s birthcert in place of the politically correct mingwei.

Thus, miaweelow grew up in primary school and secondary school being likened to a cat and being made to respond to cute cuddly meowings and unproportionate scribblings of bon bon cat by young adolescent girls.

This led to a life full of disturbance and trauma. We do not know how much he suffered under the cruel hands of the world.

However, God has a plan for the underdogs, ahem, i mean the undercats. Originally a worshipper of a popular eastern deity, miaweelow found out that only Jesus saves at age 9. Leaving his eastern belief, he place his faith on a man some call the Messiah. Nonchalant and complacent until 16, he received an epiphany and was never the same within.

From then on, miaweelow is driven by a consuming passion that some term as fanaticism and idiocy, however, the good news is that he has given up all thoughts of revenge on the adolescent girls who threatened his human nature and made him almost believe that he was feline. He strove to believe that even if miaweelow was a mistake, it was alright because Jesus has the final say.

Blessed with a weird personality as confirmed by a multitude, miaweelow has the ability to enjoy a myriad of circumstances and has now escaped from the congestion of Singapore where he can finally be allowed space to think about life in his quiet suburban pad.

Its not known when he will return to the island life, but some has spotted him being extremely happy amidst lush surroundings and the great outdoors. It is said that he has committed himself to the development of an ancient art, the art that allows him to sell things that no one really needs and to chase airy intellectual pursuits all day long without feeling a tinge of guilt.

In his free time, miaweelow observes beautiful things with his Ricoh GRD2, reads and drinks tea. Not just any tea. He prefers tie guan yin and pu-er. He is also struggling with nomadic tendencies and is awaiting his next fix to Vietnam. He is also currently fixated on Indian culture.

Miaweelow is 23. His birthday wish is to know His saviour more each day and make Him known until his final sunset on planet earth.
