I chanced upon this write-up and thought it was informative. Stating the obvious sparsity on Australian soil compared to US, European and Asian soil, i thought it was logical that the internet prices here should be a little more competitive due to the herculean effort needed just to lay the info cables across such distances for so little people.
We might as well get our own satellite in our own backyards.
However, alls not lost. We do hope in God and google although sometimes, regretfully, the other way round
so far these are 5 of the ISPs that turned up on Google and only 2 offer unlimited access (U.L) so you can guess where i’ll place my money with me being Singaporean.
1) http://www.supernerd.com.au
2) http://www.shiftreload.com.au (U.L)
3) http://www.ozonline.com.au
4) http://www.istnet.net.au (U.L)
5) http://www.earthlink.com.au
You can visit the links and see for yourself how absurd these plans are when placed under Singaporean scrutiny. Haha.
I hate the feeling of checking if i’ve exceeded my measly 3GB download and upload cap and hate waking up in the middle of the night just to switch off my internet connection just because i forgot and left it on before i dozed off. Bothersome to say the least haha. But these are just creature comforts which must be dealt with since i’ve left the Convenient State or more like the state of convenience.
On the brightside, i’ve been stir frying and this is my latest achievement. I tend to look at my cooking time as my downtime from books whether leisure reading (i’m obsessed about ‘a suitable boy’ by Vikram Seth) or studying. It’s so therapeutic to cut the ingredients in carefree indolence, toss them around in a pan and smell rice that you’ve just made. You might make mistakes, many in fact, but that doesn’t dampen your mood because you know cooking is a need as well as a craft that only the brave will perfect.
I’m so excited everyday. haha because seeing every cooking opportunity as a chance to better myself. And i also watch the Simpsons because it comes on exactly at the time when i start cooking.
So for today, chicken fillet in black bean sauce garnished with expensive chilli padi.

n00bish chicken, but it made me happy.
Alright, thats all for the beginner’s attempt. After i perfect this i will move on. But for now, simplicity is key!
